Workplace Bullying and Organizational Deviance : Does Gratitude Matter?

Two objectives guide this study: first, to examine whether organizational deviance is a consequence of workplace bullying, and second, investigate possible moderating effect gratitude on the relationship between bullying deviance. Variables were tapped using Negative Acts Questionnaire, Organisational Deviance Measure, Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ6). This study uses correlation-causal design; data drawn from sample 215 workers employed in telecom organizations higher education institutes universities based Islamabad Rawalpindi. Linear hierarchical regression techniques used test hypothesized direct effects. Results confirmed both hypotheses, implying that offsets bullied employees moderates relationship. Theoretically, contributes current literature by signifying triggers an important variable lessens undesirable triggering employees. Managers should create awareness about deviant acts at work assert within environment through training workshops lessen incidents offset unwanted outcomes. They are also advised minimize its subsequent effects establishing clarity design.
